Museum Team is a free, year-round afterschool program that serves over 250
neighborhood youth, grades 2–12. It is a multi-tiered program that provides a
ladder of learning opportunities at the Museum and in the community.
Students begin in Kids Crew with educational programs and clubs, then move
on to volunteer and paid internship positions focused on community service
and career exploration.

AFTERSCHOOL PROGRAM
Kids Crew (Grades 2 to 8)
Participants take part in a range of activities that center on cultural history,
natural science, and the performing and visual arts, utilizing the Museum's
collections, exhibitions, and technology. For more information, please contact

MUSEUM TEAM HIGH SCHOOL INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Museum Team Volunteers (Grades 9 to 10)In addition to having volunteer opportunities throughout the Museum, participants
learn to work directly with the public as gallery, workshop, and public program
assistants. They also have an opportunity to explore careers through field trips and
artist/scientist-in-residence programs.
Museum Team Interns (Grades 11 to 12)Interns receive training and an hourly stipend for their work, which may include serving
as a peerMentor for
Kids Crew youngsters or working as an Explainer in exhibit galleries
and public programs. Interns also participate in community service projects and college
and career preparation workshops.

SUMMER PROGRAM
The Museum offers free summer programs for children ages 7 to 18.
Programs are offered on weekdays during July and August, with registration required.
Grades 2 to 8
For students in the second through eighth grades, the Museum offers exciting arts,
culture, field trips, hands-on projects, and fun outdoor activities. For more information,

Grades 9 to 12
Along with enjoying field trips and arts activities, high-school students also participate
in leadership training and get an opportunity to work in the Museum’s galleries. For more
